The Journey Of Carbon Fibre Within Lamborghini

From day one Lamborghini knew that if they were going to make some of the finest cars the world had ever see they would require the best materials the planet has to offer, and it didn’t take them long to know that CARBON FIBRE was undoubtedly the super material for the job.

From watching this video its evident to see that the unique properties and processing requirements of the carbon fibres have played a big part in the design process of all composite Lamborghinis resulting the automotive art we always see rolling out of the doors of the Lamborghini factory.

The New McLaren P1 GTR = The P1 and some

The GTR will strap on an  additional 83 BHP for the P1 and at a whopping cost of £1.98 Million. But if you want to get you’re hands on one of these highly tuned carbon fibre pocket rockets you will have to of owned a P1 prior to even being invited to be considered for a GTR.

0-60 and 0-100 times are as of yet a dream in the minds of the tuning team at McLaren, but you can be certain they will be as mind blowing as the idea of this car its self.

Razik’s exhibits the future of Carbon Fibre truss frames

Another appearance of the Truss carbon fibre bike frame is being represented here but this time not by Delta7 but by Razik instead.

The truss frames uses carbon fibres that are hand laid in a unique diamond formation to reduce weight increase strength and minimise vibration for a more effortless and comfortable ride over conventional carbon fibre tube frames.

However the truss frame has come up against some serious scrutiny over the past few years its been around, with claims of the frame holding mud, and dirt between the sections, rendering the weight saving exercise useless.

Whether the accusations are indeed true or not, it is always good to see that new materials and processes are being applied to further improving the riding experience, for those individuals looking to get around under their own power.

We would like to hear your thoughts and opinions on the Truss carbon fibre bike frame, and whether it has a place in the future of bikes?
